Innovative Interiors & Construction was founded by Ernie Johnson in response to a rapidly expanding multiplex cinema market in 1992. Throughout the 1990’s the company's primary focus was installing acoustical wall panels and stretch fabric wall systems in theaters throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia. The company's first job was a UCI theater installation in Tamworth, England. During the 1990’s Innovative Interiors & Construction dominated the market with over 2500 auditorium instillations and approximately 50 employees operating out of the UK office.

Ernie Johnson, the company’s owner and industry veteran, fostered this environment of integrity knowing that it would create demand for the company's services. Since the founding of the company back in 1992 Ernie and his team have accomplished over 3000 projects which include some of Denver’s attractions like the Wells Fargo Theater downtown.
With nearly 25 years experience working with acoustical treatment and soundproofing technologies and being the region's most respected and reliable sub contractor, general contractors and architects look to Denver based Innovative Interiors & Construction for solid advice and direction with their acoustical requirements.
Our History
As a result of shifts in the market in the early 2000’s, Innovate Interiors and Construction refocused marketing efforts on commercial acoustic treatment and soundproofing work in the Denver and Rocky Mountain Region. The Rocky Mountain market offered opportunities installing acoustical wall panels and acoustical stretch fabric systems in churches, schools, auditoriums as well as offices and conference rooms.
In 2006 Innovative Interiors & Construction purchased its current office. The office resides in the South Platte River Business District in south west Denver. Shortly after settling into their new office, Matt Domingo, a Senior Project Manager and Estimator, was added to the companies arsenal of experience. Matt, with his 20 plus years of industry experience, positioned the company to market direct to the general contractor and expand the companies customer base.
Eurospan use in Breckenridge historic building
This brief video is a documentary of Eurospan’s use in Breckenridge Colorado’s Historic Old School House built in 1909. The school house has now been repurposed as a library and community center. Because of the nature of this historic building, traditional acoustical treatments where not going to be the best option. The Eurospan acoustical stretch system was the right choice for this project. This video offers a brief overview of the project and how Innovative Interiors and Construction and the Eurospan product tackled the job.
